Meet Khalil Ashong, our new Chief Operating Officer.

Khalil is deeply passionate about innovation and continuous improvement, with a particular focus on creating seamless, high-quality consumer fulfilment journeys. He is also a committed people leader, known for building, developing and empowering high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and operational excellence across the business.

What is your new role and what will you be focusing on?

My new role is Chief Operating Officer, and I will be focusing on the operations, client management and IT functions. My aim it to quickly understand where my skills can support these teams, and what part I can play in propelling FwS on this growth journey.

What attracted you to join Fulfil with Synergy? Was it their mission, the culture or something else entirely?

It was the people, and their energy and passion. It resonated with my own values and approach.

Can you share your career journey so far – highs and any lows?

I'm a logistics lifer! I started briefly in the warehouse 26 years ago, then onto lorries and wagons, and finally caught the bug for solving problems, and leading winning teams! I don't tend to focus on the lows - I instead go seeking the next high, and coming to FwS is definitely one of them.

How would your former colleagues describe you in three words?

Measured, fair, empathetic.

What are you hoping to achieve in your first year at Fulfil with Synergy?

I'm hoping to bring a different approach to solving problems and making every team member feel valued. We'll tick our targets off in the process too 🙂

Do you have any hobbies or passions outside of work that keep you busy?

Music keeps be very busy indeed. I spent some time as a gigging pianist, and I play bass guitar and drums pretty well too!

Exploring the art of the possible, together!
