
It started with a van, some sofa beds, a clear sense of purpose and an insatiable appetite to be an entrepreneur or at least give it a go. Nearly 45 years ago, founder Gary Rees launched a small delivery service. At just 17, he hired a driver and got to work knocking on doors. That one decision set everything in motion.



Humble beginnings
What began as one rather determined man and a van has grown into a highly respected 3PL and multi-channel fulfilment and retail partner, trusted by some of the UK’s most recognised and ambitious brands.
We’ve grown with the industry. From mail order to TV sales to today’s competitive eCommerce landscape, we’ve always focused on making things better, smarter, and more efficient for the brands we support.
Today, Fulfil with Synergy operates seven days a week from our purpose-built facilities in Northampton. We’re powered by a team of over 280 fulfilment specialists, handling tens of thousands of orders and returns, daily.
We bring together world-class automation, including AutoStore, with the agility, creativity, and problem-solving of a founder-led business. Our capabilities span fulfilment, retail, returns management, value-added services, and bespoke solution design; all underpinned by deep integration expertise across leading platforms and marketplaces.
A lot's changed
A lot has evolved since that first delivery from London to Leeds, but what we’re here to do hasn’t. We remain quietly focused on getting it right. Just now, we’re doing it at scale, supporting bold, ambitious brands behind the scenes, and helping them deliver on their promise.
And another thing that hasn’t changed is our belief in doing things properly. We see ourselves as part of your brand experience and treat every order as if it carries our name.
